Devnexus Online Conference 2021 by Deepak A L

On February 17 2021 ,  I’ll attend my first #devnexus conference 2021 online amidst the Global Corona Pandemic.

I’m very excited about one of the best conferences around the year, which is #Devnexus online Conference.

I’ll get to interact  with speakers from various areas of expertise like Java,Cloud,JVM Languages and Big Data.

Devnexus brings attendees unparalleled opportunities for both learning about the latest technology trends and diving deep into technologies that interest them.

Meeting so many smart, dedicated people that contributed so much for the #java ecosystem makes me very happy.

I can’t say how much @nyjavasig is important in this step. Because of this amazing community, which I’m now part of, I came to know so many people and work to make #java accessible to everyone.

Sharing knowledge with others is a satisfying talk. Every person we help is a victory. Learning new technologies keep us up to date with latest industry trends .

There will be online attendees and many exciting Dev sessions, the Devnexus conference offers everything you could ask for.

The best professionals, the creators, and maintainers of some of the best tools available, leaders of JUG from all around the globe.

This is not a conference to be missed , but to be glued to.

GIDS 2009 Java Conference @ IISC

Hi Friends,
Let me introduce first of all to all the people viewing my blog .
Im Deepak A L currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at HCL technologies, with around 5 years of expereince in java/J2Ee,well the next question would be why am i here, yes the answer is certainly GIDS 2009 motivated me to create my blog.So today is my first blog writeup at this website.I arrived at IISC at around 8:30 AM in morning and checked in and the rushed towards the Main hall,Well for what ?? dont ask me again...Obviously for Cloud Computing session. It was the first session on First day of GIDS.Java today and it was a good start,The session gave me some aspects of Cloud computing,(private and public clouds) and so on....if in case you guys are wondering what is cloud computing, guys watch on,Cloud computing is the next WORD in Java.(Like SOA which is upcoming).let me talk about SOA later,Jim Weber's session on "Guerrila SOA" was truely awesome.often i felt the ESB is the heart component of SOA architecture but relax guys.ESB is the one which causes loads of problems as disparate systems come into picture so we have web services (kind of replacing ESB),Craig slides were enough to give a basic picture on Cloud Computing,Thanks Craig....(10:20 to 10:40 it is coffee time Let me take a break guys.)

Hey Relax im back from the coffee for the next session(Know your java By Venkat Subramaniam in Main Hall),WOW this was awesome, some nice tricks of the trade have to be learnt from this guy man.He Showed how Java code would work as comparable to Ruby and Groovy(well for those guys Groovy is a langauage compatible with java),i was literally shocked when the expected behaviour/Result was not the one which was supposed to work and venkat substantiated the code with enough reasons. (Thanks Venkat....) :-)

Ashish Masand took the next session on Cobol.Let me tell you frankly i have no idea on Cobol so it was something new for me.
(12:20 to 13:10) the Next session is for JPA2 by Emmanuel bernard,Let me tell you,I need those slides as soon as possible. The JPA2 session was really informative as i did not know much about Java persistence API 2 along with bean Validation.(JPA 2 is much more similar to Hibernate like we have Queries,Sub Queries,Entities,Entity Manager) it is truely awesome,I need to look into the details of the same.13:10 to 13:50 Guys its Lunch time.I need to break up for Lunch,
Hey Im Back from Lunch but guess what i could not make up for the session for Building Webservices using Spring.I was outside Hall 3(but since did not have enoough space) i had to attend Subversion 1.5 in Main hall.I have not much idea on Subversion 1.5.......
14:50 to 15:20 its time for Crystal Reports for Java Developers,It was an eye opener session for me.I have worked on Business Objects (integrated with java in my First Org) so i had some idea on reports. The new version of Crystal Reports has to be checked out guys. Please take time to check out since it is Awesome.

Dr Rangachari kasturi introduced about the IEEE's standards.Quite an Eye opener too.

This was the session i was waiting for in SD hall(The Next generation of Java EE 6(technolgy Stack) by Mike Keith,Wow he had the best slides of todays conference,Which were self explanatory and really awesome.Keith,Thanks for the Java EE 6 Eye opener from your side.
Im looking forward for EJB 3.1 and Servlets with Annotations,web-fragments and the other stuff which you explained.Mike also explained about JPa for the people who did not attend Emmanuel session on JPA 2,(Strongly typed Criteria Query and String Based Query).Truely Awesome.

16:40 to 17:00 Guys i need a break ill be back for the SESSION of the "D" day yeah that SOA,thats what i have come here for.

17:00 to 17:50 was the absolute awesome session from Jim webber,Jim explained the concepts comically but with a "VERY Strong message",yeah the message is look out if you want to go in for SOA,it is not the ESB(Enterprise Service Bus) Layer that needs to be configured for disparate systems, but let me give you an example ,in case if we need to interact between disparate systems then ESB is not the solution we need to use Web Services which would transfer SOAP messages using SOAP/TCP protocol, hence we have loosely coupled systems and we are exposing only the interface but not the actual implementations. So the implementation logic is never exposed.Hence "N" number of Systems expose their services which could be called by any system for exchanging messges,Again the Presentation was truely great. Thanks Jim for your efforts along with GIDS.java team.

Well let me thank the GIDS(SALT MARCH MEDIA) people for making this a truely awesome day for me ,i went home back with loads of information on java which i need to be updated with.
Well i won 3 Prizes on Day 1,A book on SOA,and other 2 prizes from Micro Focus.

It was Truely an Awesome Experience.well i headed home but guess what ,the weather had some plans for me.well thats another story,i will update you guys soon on GIDS.WoRKSHOP tomorrow, till then take care

Gud Nite
